Chrysocolla is a soft stone that commonly forms with malachite and azurite. Gem silica chrysocolla is far more durable and rare. This material is mined in only a handful of places in the world. The piece in this pendant is from Arizona and it captures the sky on a cloudless day. It was cut in-house by Scott Empey and mounted in this claw-like faceted setting.
